Tina Forkner just requested me as a friend on Shelfari, which reminded me of the existence of this nifty tool. At BEA in New York, the publishers were raving about Shelfari.
If you haven’t seen it, check it out. Look at what’s on my shelf. If you like the service, add me as a friend. It feels a bit shameless to ask. Here’s my attempt to load their nifty widget:

Dude, how do you find the time to find this stuff?
Shelfari got a lot of Buzz at Book Expo America. So when I got back, part of my personal debrief from the trip was to explore the service a bit.
I loaded a few books and left it alone. But yesterday Tina “friended” me. So I spent a little more time poking around. Thought I’d share it here.
“I never desire to converse with a man who has written more than he has read.†Samuel Johnson
No need to justify loving books when you’re a writer–Shelfari is yet another way to organize thoughts and generate ideas. I found time for something similar–of course I am still on summer vaca! The link to my collection is on my blogroll–”My Library” etc.
Cool-mine is on facebook, but I must get it on my blog….
Marcus: I think “friended” should be added to the OED. Do you mind if I identify you as the word’s originator?
