A few weeks ago, I published a short drama I wrote. Several people contacted me via email to say they were interested in more free, quality drama scripts for church.
At our church we now rely completely on the fantastic scripts from 252Basics. These are really great scripts.
My scripts may not be so great, but they are free. This was a 10 minute piece we used on Wednesday night (before 252Basics) to capture children’s attention before they split off by grade level.
This skit teaches what it means for the Bible to be like a sharp sword. Primarily we do that with madcap antics from two knifeco salesmen (Oklahoma City Smith and Jersey City Jones), one sword searching knight (King Arthur), one berzerking geat (Beowulf), and one crazy German lady who just wants every to sit down for a hearty meal of blood sausage. Stanley was a recurring character for us, loosely based on the Crocodile Hunter. Bob was recurring too.
Here’s the whole script. I only ask for folks to let me know how it goes if they use it. (And follow the creative commons license.)
