Published in 32 Poems

by Marcus on April 27, 2009

32 Poems is one of my favorite poetry magazines. I admire the work of John Poch, one of the editors, because he works in forms rather than free verse.

I’ve submitted to them for years now, and finally, John accepted a piece of my work and published it in the latest issue (Spring 2009). The poem is quite minimalist at John’s editorial suggestion. To be fair, I’m not posting it here for awhile. But I encourage you to order the journal if you love poetry. As an independent journal, it avoids some of the incestuousness of the academic journals.

Congratulations!

Speaking of poetry, I really enjoyed going through your Light and Mirrors workshop material. I marked several poems, including your own.
