Mount Hermon Pictures

by Marcus on March 17, 2008

I have a stack of business cards to enter, pages of notes on what I’m learning, stories of late night chats with Steve Laube and Randy Ingermanson, but less inclination to blog away the time while I’m here.

I’ll post more soon. In the meantime, here are some pictures that I took with my Palm Centro phone.

red wood

Obligatory looking up at red woods shot.

Mount Hermon Prayer Spot

A place for prayer and meditation.

Mount Hermon Coast

The coast is close too.

Mount Hermon Coast - barnacles

The coast is worth a closer look

.Mount Hermon Coast - anemone

And another closer look.

Mount Hermon Christian Writing Conference Coast - plant

And another. This little anemone made my finger feel tingly when I touched it.

Mount Hermon Christian Writing Conference Coast

I’m no surfer, but there were people kayaking in the waves. I think I could go for that someday.

There’s nowhere else quite like it! (I’m going to be speaking there at the end of the month. Yeah!)

Marcus,

I’m so glad you were able to attend Mount Hermon this year! Sounds like you had a fantastic time and were able to meet so many amazing people. I went last year and loved it. Your photos turned out so well, too. I enjoy your work and look forward to keeping in touch!

Blessings-

Marla

I’d never been to that part of California before – and the scenery alone was worth the price of admission. After 4 months of non-stop monochrome gray Chicago skies, the saturated blue of the sky against those redwood trees turned winter into spring for me!

Late night chats. Sounds nice. I think I would have had to classify those as wee-hours-of-the-morning chats, considering the three hour time difference that met me on the ground.

I love the angle on that mollusks picture. Awesome.

It was great to meet you, Mark! I hope that you finally got home safely. Arrgghh, airplanes and bad weather. A gnarly combination.

Many blessings on your sci-fi journey. You’ll have to keep me posted on how it all turns out.

:)

Mark,
This is weird. I’ve seen your profile picture on Writer Interrupted, read your articles there and other places, and I knew about High Calling, but when I met you, I didn’t connect that you were this person. Nice to meet another person from the internet.

Michelle
