Colbert and Wright Go Head to Head on Heaven

This Stephen Colbert interview with N. T. Wright is worth a watch.

I once took N. T. Wright and his wife to the airport. During our two hour drive we talked about tons of stuff from whether Jesus was a carpenter to whether anything will ever be as cool as Harry Potter. (Hat tip to Bob Carlton for sending out the link via twitter.)

    You have two of my favorites, Wright and the Colbert report! Great piece! I have read the book, and though I would say I question some of Wright's thinking, he has done a masterful job of re-orienting the church away from the "I can't wait to be raptured and in heaven with God and away from this terrible place"mentality that it often espouses!
  • pretty brave to get in the ring with Colbert.
